Hi! My name is Callie. I am completing my Graduate degree at UW-Superior in Clinical Mental Health and am a Substance Abuse Counselor-In Training. I believe that each person has different needs in the therapy relationship, and I am passionate about providing a space where you can feel seen and understood. My approach focuses on your unique needs and life experiences that brought you to therapy. I use a trauma sensitive and collaborative approach that is based in Person-Centered counseling. I use an attachment-based lens to integrate elements of mindfulness and interpersonal processing, as well as cognitive and narrative therapies. I am currently training in Somatic Experiencing to work with you toward inner peace and healing through embodiment and exploration of your inner experience. In the therapeutic process, providing a supportive and safe environment is my primary goal and I strive to understand your individual story so we can gain awareness of the signs pointing toward healing, inner wisdom and honoring the self.
My areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, attachment and relationship concerns, identity development, social anxiety, life transitions, and substance/addictive disorders. I also focus my practice on trauma informed processes and have specialized training in working with trauma and PTSD including complex concerns related to early childhood relational trauma, religious trauma, and developmental trauma. I integrate knowledge of trauma triggers so we can work with and understand the presence of fight, flight, freeze, and fawn states.
I am sex-positive and kink and poly friendly. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome all people in all walks of life in my practice and strive to meet you where you are in life’s journey as we work together for healing through life’s challenges.
